Squash Ontario (Tournament Support Fund)
Project Description
The Squash Ontario Tournament Support Fund is used to enhance Provincial Championships and community sanctioned competitions.
The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):
Funds raised will support all aspects of a player's squash tournament experience: volunteer/staff expenses, refereeing, live streaming, enhanced participant value packages such a food, souvenirs, prizing, on-site physiotherapy, and so on.
How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.
Squash Ontario offers between 30-40 competitive opportunities for players aged 19 and above each year. These events target the Active for Life, Training to Train, Training to Compete, and Training to Win athlete development phases. As such, competitions are designed to meet the needs of masters players, Open and A-E skill level players, and both singles and doubles squash. There is ample opportunity for a player to compete regardless of their age or skill level in Ontario.
