Gravenhurst Curling Club Sustainability Fund
Project Description
Replacement and installation of a new ice plant and the establishment of a Capital Reserve Fund to assist with funding future capital projects that will be identified following the update of the Club's Long-term Capital Plan. An Operations Fund may also be created, to allow for future annual shortfalls in club operations, with the goal of providing long-term sustainability for the Club.
The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):
To pay for the immediate need of ice plant replacement, and for ongoing maintenance of the physical plant and other capital improvements, with any excess funds over immediate needs to be placed into a capital reserve and/or an operations reserve, in order to maintain the viability and sustainability of the club.
How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.
This project will ensure the sustainability of the Gravenhurst Curling Club, to continue to serve the curling community in north Simcoe County and Muskoka, providing both recreational and competitive opportunities in the sport for both existing members and new members of the community. It will allow us to continue introducing the sport to new adult members, through our learn to curl programs, and will also allow us to continue our programs of introducing the sport to both primary school and high school youth in the community.
