Team Ontario (Provincial Team)
Project Description
Team Ontario is comprised of 12-14 student athletes that are selected to represent Ontario every year at the National Championships. There are 4 teams, U15 and U17 Boys and Girls.
The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):
To help in offsetting costs for the teams. The travel costs this year are significantly higher due to Nationals being held in Calgary and Quebec.
How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.
These athletes are essentially the top athletes in the Province, they will then move onto playing for the U16 National Cadet team or the U19 National team. Both teams have medaled historically and have been comprised of minimum 65% of athletes from Ontario, every year.
