Project Description
We want to offer basketball leagues as well as training for 'girls only' as well as continue to enhance our boys leagues and programming. A key component to our leagues is making it affordable for our youth, especially our marginalized youth in the community (many indigenous youth in our community, as well as many new landed immigrants)
The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):
purchase of vehicle to travel -- partial funds, as we are looking at sponsors as well
gym time
equipment purchases
How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.
We will be providing age specific and age appropriate programming to youth, and also adding leadership/mentorship opportunities and meshing community partners for FMS training and nutritional awareness.
