NBCC Development Fund
Project Description
This project will promote the sport of Sprint Canoe/Kayak in North Bay helping to grow and sustain NBCC' Sprint Racing program, making it affordable for all athletes.
The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):
Proceeds will be used to help offset athlete training costs, travel costs for coaches and athletes, regatta entry fees and coach professional development costs. Athlete bursaries will also be funded to help remove financial barriers to participation
How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.
The North Bay Canoe Club has been involved in sport of Sprint Canoe/Kayak for over 50 years, producing many high-level athletes, from age group Provincial champions to national team members and Olympians. The funds from this project will help NBCC grow its current base of young athletes and provide them with the coaching, facilities, and training opportunities to reach their full potential and add to that tradition for many years to come.
