GRC Lifetime of Rowing Fund
Project Description
To provide financial support to the Guelph Rowing Club's (GRC) programs allowing the club to keep membership fees low while maintaining quality programming.
The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):
• To replace and purchase new equipment, including but not limited to rowing, training, coaching and safety,
• for facilities maintenance, operations and upgrades,
• for summer student wages
• for training volunteers and paid coaches
• to finance program maintenance and expansion
How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.
Financial support from our fund will help our club maintain our equipment and facilities to provide a positive rowing experience that will instill a lifelong passion for physical activity. It will help us to offer entry-level to competitive rowing programs to a larger audience supported by trained coaches and to encourage athletes to follow our structured pathway of programs for athletes, coaches, umpires and volunteers based on the Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L)/Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model.
