Sticks & Stones Project
Project Description
To generate funds in support of under-privileged youth athletes. Funds will be used to purchase required equipment and fees to participate in the sport of curling.
The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):
An athlete is able to apply to the project administrators to have their curling equipment and participation fees paid by the project. Eligible athletes will come from under-privileged household and will require an essay format application along with a supporting letter from a recognized member of the community (Professional, Pastor/Priest, Community organizer, others). Once approved the applicant will receive their curling supplies and be registered with a local Ontario community curling centre to participate in their youth curling program.
How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.
By allowing a more diverse and inclusionary participant curling will be able to grow as a sport for the betterment of all athletes in Ontario.
